  6. why will the block A move towards right ? they are not connected just by a string . they are connected by a string passing over the pulley.block A will move upward

    As length of string is constant.. blocks will move in such a way that the velocity component of each block along the length of string will be constant... in this way you can see the direction in which block A will be moving...
